A Family Legacy in Metal Casting

The Van der Walt family has been deeply involved in the foundry industry since the 1960s. The company was officially founded by first-generation brothers Koos, Johann, and Jan Van der Walt, along with Johann’s wife, Letitia. With decades of craftsmanship and expertise, they laid the foundation for what is now Knights Foundry.

Today, the second generation—Vincent, Cobus, and Louis Miller—leads the company forward, expanding production capacity and modernizing operations while maintaining the family’s commitment to quality and innovation.
